Scholarship Opportunities
The Hispanic Bar Association of Austin Charitable Foundation is now accepting applications for the HBAA LSAT Preparation Scholarship and HBAA Bar Review Scholarship. Please review the scholarship applications below for more information and application criteria:
HBAA LSAT Preparation Scholarship
- Awarded to undergraduates interested in attending law school
- Scholarship funds intended to be used towards an LSAT course
- Typical application timeframes: Early Spring

- Awarded to members of the Chicano/Hispanic Law Student Association at the University of Texas School of Law
- Scholarship funds intended to be used towards a bar review course
- Typical application timeframes: Early Fall and Spring

Please e-mail hbaasecretary@gmail.com with any questions. If you have already paid for a course you are taking in this calendar year and are selected for a scholarship, you will receive reimbursement for the enrollment cost of the course.
The HBAA Charitable Foundation also provides the following scholarships on an annual basis:
UT Law Scholarship
(in collaboration with the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium)
- Awarded to current students at the University of Texas School of Law
- Scholarship funds intended to be used to assist with law school costs
- Typical application timeframe: Late Spring
HBAA Summer Fellowship
- Awarded to current students at the University of Texas School of Law that accept summer employment with a nonprofit agency
- Fellowship funds intended to supplement other summer income to enable more students to take on nonprofit work
- Typical application timeframe: Late Spring
