HBAA Assists Families in Need for Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, HBAA and other volunteers helped spread holiday cheer by distributing Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need at the South Austin Neighborhood Center as part of HBAA’s annual Thanksgiving Basket Project.

This year, we gave out turkeys and all the trimmings for a holiday feast to a total of 60 families!

HBAA New Officer Swearing-In Ceremony - Meet the New Officers!

The HBAA New Officer Swearing-In Ceremony was held on July 28 at McCormick & Schmick's in downtown Austin.  Judge Jim Coronado of the 427th Criminal District Court of Travis County, Texas conducted the swearing-in of this year's HBAA officers and HBAA Foundation board members.  Thanks to Judge Coronado, and to everyone who attended!

HBAA Participates in Texas Latino Redistricting Task Force Lawsuit

HBAA, as an affiliate member of MABA-Texas, has joined the Texas Latino Redistricting Task Force as a plaintiff in the MALDEF redistricting lawsuit.

HBAA Treasurer and MABA-TX Legislative Director, Celeste Villarreal, will be deposed on behalf of the Coalition on August 3rd, 2011.

Monthly Meetings
