Austin Minority Bar Associations Issue Diversity Report Card

The Austin Asian American Bar Association, the Austin Black Lawyers Association, and the Hispanic Bar Association of Austin recently issued their annual Austin Law Firm Diversity Report Card.  Click these links for the press release and the report card.  We thank all the firms for their participation and continued efforts to support diversity in our profession.

HBAA Announces Its 2012 Endorsements

Thank You for Supporting the 2011 Hispanic Heritage Luncheon!

HBAA's annual Hispanic Heritage Luncheon was held on October 28, 2011.  Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, attendees and speakers, we had yet another wonderful program!

This year, the luncheon raised over $20,000 for the scholarship and other programs of the HBAA Charitable Foundation.  We cannot thank you enough for your support!

HBAA Assists Families in Need for Thanksgiving

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011, HBAA and other volunteers helped spread holiday cheer by distributing Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need at the South Austin Neighborhood Center as part of HBAA’s annual Thanksgiving Basket Project.

This year, we gave out turkeys and all the trimmings for a holiday feast to a total of 60 families!

HBAA Participates in Texas Latino Redistricting Task Force Lawsuit

HBAA, as an affiliate member of MABA-Texas, has joined the Texas Latino Redistricting Task Force as a plaintiff in the MALDEF redistricting lawsuit.

HBAA Treasurer and MABA-TX Legislative Director, Celeste Villarreal, will be deposed on behalf of the Coalition on August 3rd, 2011.
